Logan's Auntie Carolyn (Tracy's sister) is doing a fundraiser for Canteen, and our family... she has asked me to attach this to our blog so it will get more coverage. We wish we had some words to express our gratitude, but there are none other than... we love you Carolyn....
Carolyn will be shaving her hair off on the 8th of October, at 6pm, at Birkdale Community House, to raise money and would like people to sponsor her, in support of Canteen (Teen Cancer) and the ‘Roose’ family who are struggling to fight this awful disease. Her nephew Logan Roose is 16 years old and is currently in Star Ship hospital in one final attempt to fight cancer. He is away from family and friends in the Waikato and his whole family is struggling due to the financial drain, adding to the stress of his illness. Carolyn is the After School and Holiday Programme Supervisor for the Birkdale/Beach Haven Community Project, and would like to do something for her family to help and although time is something she has a short supply of, hair she has lots of, so she has chosen this drastic measure to raise money for them and for Canteen. All money raised will be divided equally between the ‘Roose Family’ and the Canteen charity in his honour. Please ask for more information if you would like to sponsor her in this cool task :).
